Growing up in a suburb of Detroit helped Kara Ohngren truly appreciate the Southern California sunshine she now enjoys. When a swimming scholarship sent her to Bowling Green State University in Ohio, she decided to pursue her passion for writing. Since graduating with a degree in journalism and political science, Kara has written for newspapers, national magazines and many websites. She is now Entrepreneur’s resident social media maven and heads-up the HR/Management channels on Entrepreneur.com. When she’s not writing, Kara can be found in the kitchen cooking up her favorite Italian dishes.
