Fore! Take a Swing at Bernie Madoff (or at Least His Likeness)
For those of you who golf and who also have a little anger about the $50 billion swindle that will likely put investment fund manager Bernard Madoff in prison for the rest of his life, one entrepreneurial concern might have a little bit of comic relief.
Sleazeballs LLC is peddling a Bernard Madoff golf ball. It has his name, "Bernie Madoff," and likeness printed at the sweet spot. It promises "maximum hypocrisy," "optimum spin for maximum duplicity," and "two-faced pretension."
It appears that one person behind the endeavor is a Wall Street veteran who claims he lost his job and "a substantial amount of money due to Bernie Madoff's ponzi scheme."
"Sleazeballs strives to inform, educate and enlighten everyone who understands and appreciates the power and potential of a prudent, intelligent and honest world," states the company's site. "Sleazeballs are an attempt to root out those individuals who think and do otherwise while providing customers with the chance to relieve a little frustration at the same time."
The balls come three to a sleeve for $17.95.
Who is He? Bernard Lawrence Madoff is a wealthy businessman and made a fortune of his wealth which led him to own so many properties but now all of it seems to be nothing anymore. A 1969 Rybovich would be a nice addition to the family toys. A 1969 Rybovich is not a classic car, it's a boat, and they retail for about $2 million, a classic luxury yacht. Well, the one that was owned by Bernie Madoff was just seized in order to get some cash advances to the people he ripped off. The bulk of his holdings and property are going to be sold in order to raise funds to make some sort of reparations for the $40 billion he ripped off from clients. Still, a lot of people would need some serious cash advances to afford a 1969 Rybovich.
What's really interesting is that the Sleazeball maker is the former marketing executive for one of the 'feeder funds' that not only invested $300 million, but also redeemed tens of millions from Madoff as recently as November!!
Talk about payback!... The balls..and other Madoff merchandise are all being promoted at Bernie's Blog--which CNBC is chattering about all of the timne..www.bernard-madoff-scam.blogspot.com
LOL, that is a GREAT idea. Any chance of making "Bernie footballs" and "Bernie baseballs" too. After all, swinging a bat at such a ball might be a pretty good stress reliever. ;-)
